Albania and Germany Sign Cooperation Protocol 2024-2026, Supporting EU Negotiations and Sustainable Development

Albania and Germany have intensified their cooperation.

The Governments of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Albania held bilateral talks on development cooperation in Berlin on October 9 and 10.

Ms. Vasilika Vjero, Deputy Minister of Finance, was part of the Albanian delegation that represented our country in these discussions, along with senior officials from SASPAC, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, the Ministry of Economy, Culture, and Innovation, the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

During these talks, the Albanian side presented the key areas of bilateral cooperation and the priorities of the Albanian government.

The discussions concluded with the signing of the forthcoming biennial protocol, 2024-2026, between the governments of the two countries.

The protocol includes a number of financial commitments focused on supporting our country in its negotiations for EU membership, as well as support for sustainable development and priority sectors.
